Although thunderstorms were forecasted for most of the day, it was dry from about 9:00 til 4:00pm, which allowed me to do some more gap filling on the west log wall. I even got brave enough to go all the way up to the top logs, which considering my vertigo is quite an achievement.
Howdy Boudewijn,
As a safety officer speaking, better watch that ladder and stick with some rope to your home.
Keep up the good work and you can say safely :
“Ain’t my first rodeo”
I carefully place the log and level board and even a level on it before I put the ladder on and only go up high when it hasn’t rained;
always very aware of how high I’m up something. But no heavy work; the insulation material is foam based and I just staple it to the logs.
But the front might be too high for my taste, so might do that when I can do it from the first floor.
