Rope expansion

Funny how rope expands when it dries up. Notice the curves on the ropes in the picture below after a nice sunny day.

Yesterday, after a wet 24 hours with heavy thunderstorms and rains, the ropes were completely horizontal; I could almost play the base on them. I may have to engineer something to keep ‘m straight even when dry, as that offers a little more security.

  1. Wouldn’t it be easier to adapt your ‘general conditions (liability) towards anyone renting the log home’??
Someting like: Dus to humidity conditions the protecting ropes on the deck edges, may vary in “straightness”(!?). The owner(s) of Ozuye lodge is (are) not liable for any damage, accident, misfortune, etc. that may occur to persons, animals, or any ceature dead or alive, due to this hydrographical effect.

  2. Maybe just a sign that says, “Enter at your own risk; death or serious injury may occur” 🙂
